Researcher Edward Boring devised the following illustration to show how we each perceive different things in the same picture. Women are more likely to see an old woman with her chin tucked into the collar of her fur coat but men are more likely to see the left - side profile of a young woman who is looking away.The picture of the table also shows that what you see is not necessarily what you get.
  Your brain is fooled into believing that the far side of the table is  longer than the front side. Women are usually amused by this, but  men demand proof and grab a ruler to measure it.



Cercatatorul Edward Boring a realizat aceste ilustratii pentru a demonstra modul in care percepem lucruri diferite in cazul acelorasi imagini.E mai probabil ca femeile sa vada o femeie in varsta cu barbia bagata intr`un guler de blana, in vreme ce barbatii vad  mai degraba profilul din stanga al unei tinere care se uita in alta parte.
Desenul cu masa arata ca lucrul pe care il vezi nu este neaprat ceea ce este.Creierul este pacalit in asa fel incat sa para ce de fapt partea din spate a mesei este  mai lunga decat cea din fata.De obicei femeile se distreaza pe seama acestui fapt,iar barbatii cer dovezi si iau imediat o linie ca sa masoare. 

In the picture above your brain focuses on the solid colour so it looks like a group of odd shapes. When you change the way you look at it and concentrate on the white portions the word FLY will appear. A woman is more likely to  see  FLY than a man as his brain gets stuck on the geometric shapes.

In culoare de mai suns, creierul se concentreaza pe culoarea dominanta,astfel incat remarca doar niste figuri geometrice ciudate. Cand se schimba unghiul de perceptie daca te concentrezi asupra partilor albe, apare cuvantul FLY. Femeia vede mai degraba FLY ,in vreme ce creierul barbatului  se blocheaza pe formele geometrice.
